Lockit Local isn’t just storage, it’s your extra room around the corner. We focus on a local, community-oriented approach. Our facilities have 24/7 smart access and fully digital system for a seamless, modern storage experience from booking to access and day-to-day management.

At Lockit Local, all storage bookings are completed online through our website. Visit https://lockitlocal.com/, select one of our locations, choose the unit size needed, pick a start date, and confirm your booking. You’ll receive instant confirmation by email with a link to download the Lockit Local app to access your unit.

Lockit offers insurance cover for different levels of cover for your goods. These options are available on our website for you to decide. If you have your own insurance cover, you would need to provide proof of this to Lockit when booking your unit.

Our minimum rental period is one month. After that, you can stay as long as you like, and leave any time with at least 7 days' notice.

Some older sites only monitor entrances or use standard lock and key systems, which can leave blind spots or rely heavily on staff presence.Lockit Local's facilities are designed with modern, digital-first security. The entire site is covered by 24 hour CCTV, and every unit has its own smart lock with inbuilt alerts. Because the facility is fully digital and staffless, security does not rely on office hours, customers can access their unit 24/7 while knowing it is constantly monitored.

Our smart access system allows you to enter the facility and access your unit using a digital key via bluetooth or a code via your smartphone, providing a secure and convenient entry method.

We ask for ID verification to keep our community safe. It ensures that everyone who accesses our storage spaces is who they say they are just like you'd expect from a trustworthy neighbour.

Security is a top priority. Our facilities are equipped with advanced security measures, including 24/7 surveillance, smart access control systems, and individual unit alarms to ensure the safety of your belongings. Only you have access to your space, so your belongings are safe with us.

At the moment, you can’t visit a Lockit Local storage site before booking. Instead, we provide 3D site visualisations online so you can see the layout and unit sizes in detail. Right now, Lockit Local is developing a self-viewing feature that will let you book a site visit online and view specific units allocated to you.

Lockit Local’s sites have transparent pricing. You pay your monthly unit price and contents insurance unless you provide your own. Cleaning or damage charges apply only if needed
